Heavy reps v light reps

Post by Admin on Fri Sep 16, 2016 11:49 am

I've just started back at the gym after many years absent..

Man, I see many in the gym working heavyish weight for few reps, this is ok for gaining mass, but as we age I prefer to work 3 sets of heavy then three lighter, this works the muscles better , especially in isolation muscle workouts , it's quite a well known fact , but it can't always be called wether working heavy v light sets will have a more beneficial overall result.

Yeah , the heavier sets will often gain mass and good overall strength , whereas working lighter sets with more reps will improve stamina/endurance ...so get stuck in there and work BOTH heavy then lighter sets!
